The redevelopment of the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium area involves both the construction of new buildings and infrastructure and the renovation of the existing stadium.

The urban project takes inspiration from ancient signs present in the immediate surroundings, such as the organizational schemes of the city referring to the large areas of the Hippodrome and the primary urban axes to the north.

The interventions planned on the San Siro Meazza Stadium include the insertion of a new two-storey building that can be used by virtue of the partial demolition of the stands in the first ring. This fourth ring, where all those services ancillary to the traditional use of events can be arranged and organised: new areas for guests, VIPs, common areas, bars, services and meetings; it will be quickly reachable from the outside through new stairwells and lifts and will be at the ideal height for the best visibility of the playing field.

The prerequisite for the urban and architectural redevelopment of the area is to create a new large public space along the edge of Via Tesio, connecting the neighborhoods, characterized by a real equipped park; create a new integrated system of buildings for multiple uses, overlooking the new space called “Piazza dei Tifosi”, along the west side of the Meazza Stadium, developing its potential as a true “urban square”; encourage the establishment of tertiary, service and commercial spaces and activities capable of qualifying the area. The result is that of a complex system of building organisms capable of freeing up park areas, characterized by large tree-lined areas, and green areas equipped for sports, facing the residential neighborhoods while simultaneously creating a new public space with a strong identity towards the Meazza stadium.

The stadium is designed in the middle of a theme park, surrounded and completed by open and welcoming service buildings. The surrounding space takes on the characteristics of an urban square capable of offering conditions of full habitability both during events and in the absence of them.
