The siege represents a suspended time (like a dream). A time when we build fences, we design artifacts, we prepare equipment and machinery for a logic of domain.
The siege chooses an elevation, an intermediate ground, a threshold where to establish its own space for maneuver and activities.
Distance from the objecive is irrelevant. What is important is its presence itself.
This change in site, suspends the inside and the outside wrapping them in a double gaze. The project is a form of siege, of taking possession of a place, even when it occurs in the most delicate and less apparent forms.
The proposal faces this memory and introduces a new hope: to create an architecture capable of capturing the spirit of the place, the scale of the contextual relations, the need for new equipment and the awareness to occupy only ever a time interval, to produce a suspension in historical time that has produced ruins to which we can return word and a new spatial grammar.
